Swindon Councillors going against the norm again!

However I think the true story is ££££ cost related, why invest in something which does not give you a return on your investment?
If the Government was serious about stopping speeding it would. The communication and automotive technology exists to make it almost impossible for a vehicle to speed, but that would require considerable infrastructure investment, with the loss of revenue and popularity for re-election!

Blackberry picking

For those who think Blackberry is some hi-tech mobile communication device!
A motorbike (or bicycle) is the perfect form of transport to ramble down the quiet lanes, park at the roadside where you pick your berries.

Weds night at the Waterman

A pleasant summer evening, great way to chill out, complete with refreshments by way of a reasonably priced Bar-B-Q hot dog/sausage sandwich and a slightly overpriced soft drink from the bar. Still much cheaper than the exhibition centre/hall prices and arguably a more entertaining value for money evening!

A pleasure to wander around the "car" park looking at the great varied selection of machines, new jap bikes, Gszxr1-blades, old jap bikes, brit, italian and german bikes. Then of course there's the aural delights of the many bikes with "character" arriving and leaving
V twins: ducatis, aprilias, VTR1000SPs and TL1000S's... oops even some nice sounding Harley and Metric-cruisers... Jap 2 strokes... old brit singles and twins....
and italian exotica an MV on full song... cool.

Good to chat with old friends and make new acquaintances...

Well done Swindon Council!

National Motorcycling week completed and Ride to Work day passed (16/07/08) interesting to find a local government organisation promoting the cause:
